A fire broke out in Bhejaput hills near Damanjodi, an industrial area of ​​Koraput district today. Seeing this, the local journalist Sudarsan Senapati informed the Nalco CISF fire department in charge of security and the state fire department at 112 helpline number. Both of them reached the spot after receiving the information. Earlier, under the leadership of Bibhu Chandan Panigarahi, Shubham Das, Satyabrat Sahu of Mahabir Youth Association of Damanjodi, many efforts were made to control the fire by taking the local children. Seeing the severity of the fire, the young people of the youth union came back. Many small children were also involved. On the other hand, due to difficulty in reaching the place where the fire broke out, the fire department also returned after failing to fight the fire. People are seen living in a state of panic as there are settlements along the hill.
Even though the forest department was informed about this, it is regrettable that the forest department did not pay attention to it.
